Frequently asked questions
Straight Answers About Timeshare Help
Common questions from owners exploring their options, answered plainly.
- Is OwnerRelease a law firm?
- No. OwnerRelease is an education and eligibility-review brand. We do not provide legal advice. If you need legal advice, speak with a licensed attorney in the appropriate state.
- Does OwnerRelease guarantee I can leave my timeshare?
- No. No responsible company can guarantee an outcome. Contract terms, payment status, resort policies, state law and personal circumstances may all affect what is possible.
- How much does the review cost?
- The eligibility review is free and there is no obligation. If an independent service provider is introduced later, that company will explain its own fees and terms.
- Who is Samantha?
- Samantha is the OwnerRelease AI assistant. She may call after you submit a request to confirm your details and ask a few questions. She identifies herself on the call, and you may stop the conversation at any time.
- Should I contact my resort first?
- Often, yes. Some resorts offer surrender, deed-back or owner-assistance programs. Ask the resort to explain every requirement, fee and deadline in writing.
- Should I stop paying my maintenance fees?
- OwnerRelease does not advise anyone to stop paying. Non-payment may lead to late fees, collections, credit damage or foreclosure. Discuss the risks with an appropriate professional first.
- What information do you need from me?
- The short form asks about your ownership, your goal, how often you use the timeshare, whether you have contacted the resort and how to reach you.
- What happens to my information?
- Your information is used to respond to your inquiry and, when appropriate, to connect you with a service provider. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
- Can I help a parent or relative?
- Yes. Many requests come from adult children helping a parent. Bring the ownership documents and, where possible, include the owner in the conversation.
- How do I stop calls or messages?
- Ask to be removed during any call, reply STOP to a text message or use the contact page to submit a request.
